Their sixty years together started in high school. There was the war, their wedding, college, the first house, children, careers, cigarettes, the farm, summer boating, more weddings, drinking, many funerals, infidelity, a grandchild, pensions, a stroke and cancer. She wrote all about it on his high school graduation picture just before she died.
