THIRD DAY OF DECEMBER
FATHER'S BIRTHDAY

Oh give to me
a sunny tomorrow
that I might sit
in a bright light,
and love
                                               the fleeing leaves.

To and fro
to and fro
like a wagtail’s long feathers before flight,
from shade
to light
                          I go.

FOURTH DAY OF DECEMBER
MOTHR'S FALL

When the invisible womb,
love,
like a leaf ablaze with all its seasons
falls,
and can no longer be touched,
a circle closes.
No longer a series of arcs,
the bud of Life
replete, round,
furls.
