Lyman Gilmore

Nevada City,
Nevada Co., Cal.
Dec. 24,1918

Castle Rock Bank,
Castle Rock, Wash.

Gentlemen:

Please find enclosed check for $5.00 (from) which pay the
following parties for me as I do not know their names:

Pay the News Stand $1.00 across the street for 12 papers of
Seattle Ledger Dec. 18, containing the pictures of Swift family and
the write up of the murder of Mr. Gilmore. .60 is for the papers
and the balance of the One dollar for postage to have the papers
mailed to me at Nevada City, Nevada Co., California, at once.

I ordered the papers before the funeral, but when I returned, I
had but 15 minutes to catch the train so I came without the papers.

And, pay the Undertaker Mr. Shulze $4.00, balance on flowers for
the funeral.

It may be asking too much of you, but as I do not know the
correct name of these parties, I have to get some one to attend to
the matter for me and I feel that you are well acquainted there, and
I will pay you whatever the charges may be.

The News Stand is just across the Street from the Bank, but
down the street a few door(s), or part of a block, thanking you in
advance, I remain,

                           Very truly,
