Derek H. Crane lives in Toronto, with which he is well-pleased. He has been writing poetry, fiction, drama, lots of e-mails, and quite a bit of commentary on student papers. He is refreshed by the speed with which Doorknobs and BodyPaint responds to submissions, since he has a few pieces that have been languishing in the hands of publishers for many months (the current record being five years' silence followed by a rather curt rejection-slip) and hopes that others are more fortunate. He doesn't like hockey, but can't safely say so in his neighborhood.
