Carol Corke

Insabilli And Shomesh, #41, 2006, Hayward Fault Line Winner
Living in the beautiful Hill Country of Central Texas with her faithful dog, Sammie, and equally faithful husband who wishes to remain anonymous, Carol appreciates the arid beauty which acts as her muse. This native of colder climes has found inspiration in the playground of rugged natural splendor which surrounds her. Hiking the countryside and studying illuminated manuscripts when she's not actively writing, Carol finds enchantment in all she sees. Previously, her story, Miranda Wolcott, was featured in the January 20th edition of Defenestration Magazine, while one of her poems, On a Beach in Wales, is due for publication in the spring edition of Halfway Down the Stairs.
