Biography

Beverly Vines-Haines has worked as a writer all her life, including time as a newspaper feature writer, and a magazine columnist. After publishing several romances in the early 80's, she went back to newspaper work and also managed Anchor Publications in the Seattle area.

In 1998, she returned to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and returned to writing fiction. Today, in addition to working on novels, she does freelance work and spends a portion of her time ghost writing books for public speakers and celebrities. She has published under several names, including Jamie West, Becka Cassiday, Emmy Lu Parker and Beverly Vines.

She studied Journalism at Michigan State University and later enrolled at the University of Oklahoma where she studied Creative Writing with Jack Bickham and Bob Duncan. She teaches creative writing to adults and also holds writing classes each year for home-schooled students. In her spare time she runs Treasure Leaf Publishing (Seattle area). One of her greatest passions is the annual Tarrant County College/Trinity Writers' Workshop Writers' Conference that recently completed its sixth event.
