The Girl With 12 Noses
Stacy M. Bias

So it was one day that the girl with 12 noses set out into the world. Such as it is with taste as smell and smell as taste, the girl grew wide with curiosity, gorging herself on all she breathed through her 24 nostrils. However, as they do when one sense is heightened, her others dulled and the girl with sight but no vision, with touch but no feeling, with hearing but no perception, stepped off a curb in pursuit of a cream-filled pastry and into the path of a galloping horse.

With 8 of 12 noses broken and bleeding and the others all stuffed with hoof and hay, our lady of olfactory stumbled lithely to her feet and cried for the crimson and pain.
